            Bug ID: 52955
           Summary: Wine not loading core UI elements on High Sierra
                    10.13.6
           Product: Wine
           Version: 6.2

                OS: Mac OS X
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P2

Picture of wine failing

When I downloaded and installed a wine 6.23 from
https://github.com/Gcenx/macOS_Wine_builds/

When I launch something like notepad or just a random EXE, the wine window
header shows up but nothing else. When using the wine PKG file, it works. When
manually extracting it, it doesn't. An attachment is below of the problem.

macOS version: 10.13.6 (native)

The command I was trying to run:

WINEPREFIX=~/64WINE winetricks vcrun2019

but also

WINEPREFIX=~/64WINE notepad

I read somewhere that setting a environment variable fixed it, it doesn't for
me.

X11 (Xquartz) is installed, and is in the PATH.

I do not have a metal GPU, (ATI Radeon 5750 1024mb), but that shouldn't affect
it because this is wine version 6.23.

Thanks!
