I've learnt about C/C++/Java programming in school, I've developed an android app (automatically login to the EAS and fetch the info we need) by my own and I've also learnt about OpenGL in class. I believe that I am capable for this project.

Hi Chan,
i think for this project the best first steps are to compile Wine yourself from latest git [1][2],
then run the testsuite and submit the results [3]. This way you get a feeling what it's like to get to the results at the moment [4][5].
On the other hand, there are already some students interested in this project, so you might want to pick a second project (yes, i think you can submit two proposals).
To submit your proposal(s) you should sign up here [6]. See [7] for the Wine page.
