I still can't install an accounting program called datax - Please help, this is rather urgent

Hi 

I'm still having difficulties with installing this program.
Can anyone please help me getting it to install & run properly?
I tried to run the setup program without any luck.

One of the more obvious anomalies was that all text in the install screen was 
doublespaced like this d o u b l e s p a c e
Naturally the install window became incredibly wide and really hard to read.
Any ideas?

I use Suse Linux 8.1
wine is installed using a fake windows install on my local linux disk
glibc 2.2
