[Wine] Re: Problems loading iTunes 8.2 despite dbase advising so

We may be getting at crossed purposes here.  What I have done is firstly install Wine from the Synaptic Package Manager in Ubuntu.  Secondly went to Apple and downloaded iTunes.  When asked what did I want to do with it I opted to run it with Wine.

This now displays in my Applications > Wine >  Programs > iTunes.

Have I done things right in the first instance ?  If so I will seek further advice from Philipp Weissenbacher and hope that  he can assist.

I am not too bothered about Quicktime so I will see if I can remove it and hope this will help improve things.
