Most of that functionality should be implemented in Wine, but it might not be 100% correct and is very slow. Pocking into other process' address space is prohibited in *NIX, so Wine has a number of workarounds to support that craft.

Honestly whomever wrote that sort of "ipc" needs to be shot and never let close to computer keyboard again.
