I have Ubuntu 10.4, wine-1.2. I don't know what PulseAudio is. I run pulseaudio on the terminal and it says Daemon already running, so I guess I am. I went ahead and tried pulseaudio --k and I still have the same problem. Now, I don't know if that's how you disable it properly.
