[Wine] Re: ATI propietary drivers = wine 3d acceleration?

Wine has to translate Direct3D calls into OpenGL, adding extra overhead, so it tends to be slower. However, if there is no hardware acceleration at all, the game simply wouldn't have started (just like the native games).
