If they start allowing all sort of creepy hacks, the end result won't
be Wine getting done faster. If anything, it will become completely
unmanageable and require a rewrite. By then, it might be hopelessly
broken.

Since you are a developer, why don't you clean codeweaver's hacks and
resubmit the code? You are wasting time and effort arguing here that
could be better spent writing code.
