On Wine, Super Crate Box runs slowly enough to actually be playable. While this
is arguably an improvement, we should match the Windows behavior which is to
run unplayably fast.

Hi,
the MultiPlayer version of EDuke32 that contains the old Network Code,
has a NetLauncher.exe
its a DOS type software, just text.
fails with Wine...
the Game works...
but the NetLauncher fails...
Latest PlayOnMac 4
OSX High Sierra
NetLauncher works in W8.1x64, latest windows update that has Edge Browser works
flawless, previous older builds sometimes gives errors, but works.
https://gitlab.com/mossj32/EDuke32-OldMP_Maintenance/-/releases#eduke32-old…
there are many Duke Nukem 3D versions available,
the original Atomic edition from 1996,
the Metraton,
the 20th Anniversary (2016),
and many others..
.
EDuke3D has 2 forks,
with & without old Network code.
old Network code works in LAN W8.1x64.

Bug #: 34266
Summary: Division by zero in shader results in NaNs
Product: Wine
Version: 1.7.0
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: achurch+wine(a)achurch.org
Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 45619
--> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=45619
Proof-of-concept patch
As reported in the AppDB, if the HDR rendering option is enabled in Final
Fantasy XIV, some scenes have large black squares covering the screen. This
appears to stem from NaNs getting stored in floating-point framebuffers as the
result of division by zero in a fragment shader.
Granted there's a whole bunch of wild guessing involved, but changing the
translation of the HLSL rcp instruction to explicitly check for zero and return
a huge value instead of performing the division seems to fix the problem
without causing any side effects (see attached patch).
I do note that HLSL defines the rcp instruction to return infinity for a zero
operand (*1), while the GLSL spec says that division by zero "result[s] in an
unspecified value" (*2).
(*1)
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/hh447205%28v=vs.85%…
(*2) http://www.opengl.org/registry/doc/GLSLangSpec.Full.1.20.8.pdf (section
5.9 "Expressions") -- bizarrely, the GLSL 4.4 spec keeps that language but adds
section 4.7.1 "Range and Precision" which says that "dividing a non-zero by 0
results in the appropriately signed IEEE Inf", so the spec is internally
inconsistent and who knows what you'll get.

Hi,
When quitting Surviving The Aftermath (doesn't matter if a game was started or
just quit the game directly while in the main menu), lead to nothing but a lock
up of the game, without error windows or message in the stout.
That's not a big problem since it's always possible to end up the process, but
it's not appear on Windows so i assume it's a problem with wine.
I know it's an unity game, which version i don't know. The problem is present
with all version of the game. The game is launched from Epic Launcher.
OS : Debian sid
Kernel : 5.6.0.2
GPU : 5700 XT
Drivers : amdgpu (mesa 20.0.6) with navi10 firmware
Wine-version : wine-staging 5.8 (and wine-development
Dll override : no one
Tested with dotnet : no
Let me know the debug info you need if necessary. I don't know if they are old
version of wine where the bug is not present, i will test if i have time.

Follow up to https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49833.
To get the program running at all, use "WINEARCH=win32 winetricks -q mfc42
d3dcompiler_43 d3dcompiler_47 ie8"
When the program has loaded, close the window again by clicking the X in the
top right corner.
The console now shows an error:
"Assertion failed: 0, file ../../../wine/dlls/jscript/jscript.c, line 501"

The program crashes on start with an error, see attachment.
The program needs "winetricks mfc42 d3dcompiler_43 d3dcompiler_47", but I don't
know why it still crashes.
