I'd suggest to do the following changes in the Multimedia/mciavi section:

Remove
* Synchronization
This one should be done already.

Remove
* Replace AVI file parser by using API from avifil32
This is not such a complex task and it works perfectly now.
Native mciavi doesn't use AVI parsing APIs from avifil32 either.
